The problem with high purity water access
Medical facilities all around the world rely on high purity Medical Type II water (often produced through distillation), to ensure customer care. It is used to sterilise utensils, clean wounds, diagnose illnesseses, and prolong the life of expensive lab equiptment.
The problem is, distilled water is often expensive, scarce, inconsistent in quality, and impractical to store with a short shelf life.
This cost, waste and inconsistency, makes maintaining high hygine levels harder and less profitable, limits the treatment offered, and prevents facilities from investing in other areas of their business.
How our technology increases sterile water access
Working with partners Challenges Worldwide, IF interviewed 53 medical facilities to gain valuable insights into what the solution should look like.
By incorporating our proprietary technology, we were able to design, build and test our low-cost, mobile and easy to operate distillation device.
Our shared goal is to give heallth facilities water independance, and control of a critical resource. We hope this will one day lead to wider reaching, high quality healthcare in Ghana and around the world.
